These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (the "Terms") govern your use of Protractor — Angle, Slope & Level Measure (the "App"), a mobile application developed and operated by Appcellent Yazılım Hizmetleri Anonim Şirketi ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), and the website at protractorapp.com (the "Site"). The App is available for iOS through the Apple App Store and for Android through the Google Play Store; these Terms apply to both versions. By downloading, installing, or using the App, or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Acknowledgment of store terms

The App is licensed, not sold, to you.

  • iOS (Apple App Store). We adopt the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) as the foundation of this agreement. By using the App, you agree to the terms set forth by Apple.
  • Android (Google Play Store). The Android version is distributed through Google Play, and your use of it is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

In the event of any conflict between this document and the Apple Standard EULA or the Google Play Terms, the terms in this document shall prevail specifically regarding the limitations of liability related to measurement accuracy.

2. Accuracy disclaimer

Please read carefully: the App uses the gyroscope and accelerometer sensors in your device to measure angles. While we strive for accuracy, the App is intended for informational and guidance purposes only.

  • Not a professional substitute. The App is not a replacement for professional-grade measuring instruments such as digital protractors or precision angle gauges.
  • Sensor limitations. Readings can be affected by your device's case, calibration state, and environmental factors such as vibration or magnetic interference.
  • No liability for measurements. You assume full responsibility for any work performed based on measurements from the App. Appcellent Yazılım Hizmetleri Anonim Şirketi shall not be liable for any physical damage, property damage, or financial loss resulting from reliance on angle measurements provided by the App.
  • Always verify. We strongly recommend confirming critical measurements with professional tools before performing any construction, cutting, or installation work.

3. Subscriptions and payments

The App offers subscription services and in-app purchases:

  • Billing. All payments are processed securely through your Apple ID account (iOS) or your Google Play account via Google Play Billing (Android). We do not store credit card information.
  • Cancellation. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage this in your iOS Account Settings, or in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions.
  • Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, cancelling before the trial ends avoids any charge. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Refunds. Refunds are handled by the store that processed the payment — Apple for App Store purchases and Google for Google Play purchases — under their respective refund policies.

4. License and intellectual property

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, and to view and use the Site. The App and the Site, including their code, design, interface, and graphics, are the proprietary property of Appcellent Yazılım Hizmetleri Anonim Şirketi and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Resell, sublicense, or distribute the App.
  • Use the App or Site to violate any law or infringe any right of a third party.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App, Site, or any connected service.

6. Third-party services

The App and the Site may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or practices of any third-party sites.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP AND THE SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP OR SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the App or the Site.

9. Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App or Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence continue to apply.
